Dear Secretary Jordan & Mr. Badger:

On behalf of the Alliance for Worker Freedom (AWF), you were cc’d on a letter to Gov. Parkinson on September 14, 2009, requesting information regarding your departments’ use of taxpayer money and state resources to collect healthcare workers contact information for the Service Employee International Union (SEIU). A copy of this letter is attached.

I have not received any correspondence from your office.

Per a response letter from Patrick Hurely, Chief Counsel for Gov. Parkinson, I am following up with you. A copy of that letter is also attached.

I formally request that all receipts and financial transactions regarding the “collection” of healthcare workers/providers information, per request of the SEIU, be made publically available.

I also request that all emails and correspondence using state owned resources between Kansas state employees and anyone working for the SEIU be made available; as well as the cost of all correspondence.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Brian M. Johnson, MPA
