Louisiana: Company to pay back wages

METAIRIE, La. -- After a U.S. Labor Department investigation, Artiaga Solutions in Metairie, Louisiana, has agreed to pay $118,183 in back wages to 288 current and former employees.
The investigation found that janitorial and housekeeping workers did not receive overtime pay as required by the Fair Labor Standards Act.Cynthia Watson of the Labor Department says Artiaga contracted with New Orleans-area hotels to provide janitorial and housekeeping services.
