Ohio: Wage Law at Center of Probe

According to the Springfield News-Sun:

The Ohio Department of Commerce is investigating a complaint by a former township employee that its trustees violated the prevailing wage law during the construction of a township garage in 2006.

However, Madison Twp. Trustee Thomas Florence said there was no validity to the complaint.

Barney Wolf, a spokesman with the Ohio Department of Commerce, said the case is still under investigation.

Gene Clark, a former Emergency Medical Services Administrator for the township, said he filed the complaint based on concerns that the trustees split the job into several smaller projects to avoid paying the prevailing wage.
